Membrane switch is an operating system which integrates key-press function, indicator element and instrument panel. It consists of panel, surface glue, isolation layer, line, line and back glue. Membrane switch has precise structure, beautiful appearance and good sealing. It has the characteristics of waterproof, high temperature resistance, dust prevention, radiation protection, corrosion protection, stable and reliable performance, light weight, small volume, long service life and so on. I. Panel Layer
The panel layer is generally made of fine patterns and characters on the silk printing of colorless transparent sheets, such as PET and PC, which are less than 0.25MM. Because the main function of the panel layer is to mark and press the button, the selected materials must have the characteristics of high transparency, high ink adhesion, high elasticity and high toughness.
2. Surface Adhesive Layer
The main function of the surface glue is to connect the panel layer and the circuit layer closely to achieve the sealing and connection effect. The thickness of this layer is between 0.05 and 0.15MM, which has strong stickiness and anti-aging. In production, the special film switch double-sided glue is generally used. Some film switches require water-proof and high temperature-proof, so the surface glue must use different properties according to the need. Materials.
3. Control the upper and lower layers of the circuit
This layer uses polyester film (PET) with good performance as the carrier of switching circuit graphics, on which conductive silver paste and conductive carbon paste are printed by special technology to make it have conductive properties. Its thickness is generally within 0.05-0.175 MM, and the most common is 0.125 MM PET.
4. Cladding Layer
It is located between the upper circuit and the lower circuit layer and plays the role of sealing and connecting, generally using PET double-sided adhesive, the thickness of which varies from 0.05 to 0.2MM; when choosing the material of this layer, we should fully consider the overall thickness, insulation, touch and sealing of the circuit keypad.
5. Back Adhesive Layer
The use of backing glue is closely related to what kind of material the film switch is pasted with. Common double-sided glue, 3M glue, waterproof glue and so on are commonly used.
